And lastly, we have here the Dark Chocolate Macadamia Cookie (I think) from Starbucks. It's one of the best cookies I've ever tasted and it's best eaten when heated. Can't wait to put this in my mouth again.
Discovered this new app under 'Best New Apps' in the App Store and I fell in love with it. I love these kind of apps and it's very simple to use. It's a countdown app which helps you remember those important dates and it also serves as a reminder for your upcoming errands. Last Saturday, we went to QC at Sky Bar Mind. They served welcome drinks for us 'first timers'. The clear liquid was poured in a shot glass and I immediately went for it as if it's water. I didn't expect the strong alcohol taste and I suddenly felt the heat in my mouth and chest. The rest of them finished drinking their shots and after that, they showed us this bottle. They were calling it the 'cobra shot'. I have seen something like this in pictures but not in person. It looked so cool and there were other stuff in there. You can see the scorpion and what looked like a ginseng plant. Pictured on the right, the scorpion's tail is in the snake's mouth. They also serve the best nachos. We'll definitely come back here even if it's quite far from home.

For the past 2 days, I have been watching TLC non-stop. It's because I don't have a remote and I'm too lazy to go near the TV and change the channel every time I see a show that I don't like. So I just chose a channel that I think I can tolerate watching all day. So TLC it is.
I enjoy almost every show in TLC. There's these two shows about future brides where fashion experts and the brides' friends and family will help the bride in choosing her wedding dress (Say Yes to the Dress and Something New, Something Borrowed). I like the second show better where the bride has to decide between her mom's old wedding dress (which will be altered to give a modern look) and a new one from the shop. It's entertaining to watch the mother getting very emotional and pushing the bride to choose her old wedding gown. And the fun part, is when the bride is about to reveal to everyone what she chose to wear in her wedding. In my mind (or aloud), I'm rooting for the new gown and at the same time, I'm guessing what the bride chose. I always prefer the new dress because it's more wearable. Fun right? Lol. Instead of getting up and changing the channel, I'd rather watch those kind of shows. 😁 There are also cooking shows which I'm really fond of watching since I was a kid. There's this Asian guy who cooks Asian food (duh). It's very entertaining to watch because he's not cooking in a studio. He cooks in an island, or in a pepper plantation (it's very interesting to see pepper corns still attached to the plant) and there's when he's in a boat cooking squid which he just caught fresh from the seas of Vietnam. Food shows like Taco Wars, United States of Bacon, and the like make me extremely hungry. Don't bother watching Food Surprise. It was awfully boring. There's also this new show called Food Fighters where home cook moms (or dads) go head to head with 5 professional chefs. If she beats all five, she'll win a hundred thousand dollars (about 4.5 million pesos!). Wow. Last night was the first episode and as I was watching, I was rooting for the home cook mom (Kourtney). Some of those professional chefs are arrogant especially the second one (what a bitch). But there's this one male chef; and when he was asked by the host who he thinks will win the round, he answered with "I have to side with me (saying it with a laugh), but (looks at Kourtney) I kinda hope it's you." The audience (including me) went "Awwww." That was really sweet of him. It was a great first episode, Kourtney took home the grand prize of $100,000! She was amazing and sweet. Can't wait for the next episode 😊 So earlier today, after eating breakfast, I switched on the TV to tune to my favorite channel. It's TLC btw. Heh. But the shows that were airing, I watched them twice already. It was really disappointing. So I forced myself to get up and search for another non-stop channel (yep. that's what I'll call it from now on, my non-stop channels), and that's when I found Animal Planet. Their showing a documentary about the Namib Desert in Africa. It was exceptionally beautiful. The succulent plants, the different species of termites, and there were seals, elephants, baboons, geckos and all sorts of animals living and surviving in extreme heat and humidity. Thanks to the super duper mega zoom cameras. You can really appreciate everything and they let you take a closer look on how they are living their lives in the desert. It was really fascinating. It was January 28, 2015 when I bought my first stock. A few days before the 28th of January, I finally decided to invest in the stock market. I already had this idea a few years ago but I didn't get around to do it. I wish I did. Because the prices of the stocks back then were low. I had a lot of shoulda woulda couldas. If I bought this stock 2 years ago, I could have earned 20% by now and so on and so forth. But forget 2 years ago. I'm trying to focus on what is now. What are the stocks that would be profitable to buy now? I'm doing a lot of reading to give me guidance and there are many pinoy blogs out there giving advice and providing step by step instructions on how to begin investing in the stock martket. My first stock was from CEB (Cebu Air Inc). Their current price was a bit far below from their BB (Buy Below) value so I eagerly bought 20 shares. I was so proud of myself when I saw my purchase in my portfolio. I felt proud and excited and all sorts of happy feelings. I bought it at Php 96.60 per share. The thing is, you can monitor the price of the stock in the COL (online broker) website and it changes every 15 seconds. I was staring at CEB's current price and wishing for it to go up and up and up. Much to my dismay, the price was going down down down. After seeing that its price per share was down to Php 96.10, I bought another 10 shares out of stupidity and anger. Not really anger. More like... disappointment. It was stupid because it will incur charges again. I should have bought 30 shares in the first place to maximize the fees that COL will be deducting. Well, lesson learned. Here's what I did to keep track of my investments: COMMERCIAL: Btw, I was very very happy to finally get Numbers (Mac's version of Microsoft Excel) for FREE! (got Pages and Keynote as well 😊) I got it for free even though I don't have a newly purchased Mac (Apple is giving it away for zero dollars to newly purchased Macs which is really sad and unfair to old Mac users like me). If you're going to purchase it from the App Store, it's $20 each! I was tempted to buy it because it looks good and I'm an Apple loyalist but it was just expensive. Well, good thing I didn't! 'Cause someone from the outer webs figured out how to get iWork (Microsoft Office for PC users) for free! Haha. I love saying free. FREE! Thank you genius! AND NOW WE'RE BACK: Again, here's what I did to keep track of my investments (using Numbers 😁) I'll make a few changes along the way to monitor everything efficiently. I'm just happy that I'm finally doing something good with my money. If I can only put everything from my salary to the stock market, I'll do it. Apparently, I have a lot of bills here and there. But I'm going to make sure that I'll regularly save something to invest on stocks.
