RANTS:
- The mother and Ted, again, it feels like they are forcing me to love the mother and be mesmerized by their relationship, but I just can't.
- And I don't think I'll ever say this about Barney but... Barney is starting to get repetitive and tiring to watch. It's like he's all that's left to look forward to given that Ted and the mother seem lame and he's trying really hard to save the show.
- The reveal of Marshall and Lily's second baby, it's not really that touching. They have another baby, so what? Maybe if Robin was the one who got pregnant and had a miracle baby, maybe, just maybe, that will make the fans rave once again.
One more thing, the bacon joke about Ted, irritating. Thinking that he's allergic to bacon? That doesn't make him ignorant. That just makes him plain stupid. I'm sorry but I just have so much hate for this show right now.
I still have 2 more episodes left to watch. I hope the last 2 episodes will make these feelings somehow dissipate. I have loved this show so much for years and I don't want to end it in disappointment.
AFTER WATCHING THE LAST TWO EPISODES...
Tears tears tears. I practically cried all throughout the whole last episode. Now it makes sense. Since Robin isn't capable of having children, it was fate that Ted met the mother (Tracy) and had 2 kids with her. Instant family. And Robin seeing Ted being truly in love with a woman besides herself, it made Robin realize that Ted was 'the one'. It took her a long time to realize all this. It took another woman for her to be aware that Ted is the person she's looking for all along.
Sorry for the previous rants. My respect for this show has been restored. It was pretty obvious that Robin and Ted will get back together. But when the kids enlighten the viewers on why Ted was telling this long story on how he met their mother, I didn't see that one coming. It was Ted's subtle expression of asking for permission to date Robin (6 years after the mother died) which the kids eagerly approved :)
I don't get why people are so mad about the ending. I somehow get their disappointment but the ending was all for the better. If the ending turned out to be what "they claim" they wanted it to be, I'm sure they'll be like, "That was disappointing. I hope they killed off the mother and Ted ended up with Robin." Well, some people are really hard to please.
